In just a few days, the “Year-End Lesson of Literature – Vietnamese subject” for Grade 5 will officially take place. At this event, students will transform into familiar characters from children’s books through remarkable plays. Ms. Pham Thi Huong Giang, the former teacher of class 5Chicago, shared that reenacting and dramatizing literary works helps Students connect and empathize with characters, fostering rich imagination and associations.
These days, the theater has become a familiar destination for Teachers and Students. On stage, Teachers diligently refine every gesture and adjust each expression and tone of voice for the Students. In the audience, the children passionately rehearse their lines, each eagerly awaiting their turn to perform. The enthusiastic spirit of practice among the fifth-grade Teachers and Students burns as brightly as the summer sun. On stage, the Students express their diverse personalities like the vibrant flowers of May.
Tran Binh An, a nice girl from 5Miami, shared: “Even though I’ve been on stage many times before, I still feel very nervous, my heart still races. But I believe that on the performance day, I will do my role well.” When asked if she had a message for her Parents, her eyes sparkled: “Mom and Dad, we know you’re very busy, but we would be so happy if you could take some time to come and watch us perform. Over the past days, my friends and I have truly worked very hard and put in a lot of effort practicing.”
