The Executive Board of Dewey Students Council – DSC is a student council selected each year by TDSers themselves for various positions such as Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, and Treasurer. DSC serves as a bridge between students and teachers as well as the school, representing the image and voice of TDSers to express their thoughts, wishes, and proposals to the school. By actively participating in and supporting school events, DSC aims to promote a dynamic learning environment and uphold the core values and unique identity of Dewey students.
The Election Congress involves the participation of all class representatives, and each candidate has 2 minutes to present and share their views on the tasks and challenges if elected, as well as propose solutions. During the Q&A session, candidates demonstrate their personal abilities by answering questions from voters and teachers, showcasing why they are the most suitable person to unite the school community and how they would handle situations when the Chairman is absent.

As a student and as a member of the DSC leaders team last year, I felt like I wasn’t doing enough to help the DSC grow and become the actual voice of the student body. That’s why this year I decided to run for vice president and work even harder for the betterment of our school, staff and most importantly, TDSers.
To work hard, make this school more inclusive and help students show their unique colors. We are going have an amazing year and I hope that TDSers can help us achieve that!”
“Dear all members of the Dewey School. My name is Woojung, Vice President of 23-24 DSC. Last year I served as a member of the Academic Committee and I am privileged to serve as a Vice President this academic year. I promise to show my responsibility to all members of the Dewey School.
Last year, I worked as a member of the Academic Committee; one of the DSC specialized committees. The experience from last year was invaluable for me and this made me motivated to run for 23-24 DSC leadership members.
I know leadership isn’t an easy skill but I will try my best to maintain my leadership.”
