[Spirit Week Day 4] Trick or Treat???

Day 4 of Spirit Week turned into a vibrant “runway” showcasing the unique style of TDSers. Mysterious black and vibrant orange filled every corner, creating an atmosphere rich in Halloween spirit. TDSers enthusiastically “transformed” in unique, bold outfits.

With a Halloween costume theme, TDSers and teachers alike embraced creativity, bringing to life spooky and “chilling” looks. Mysterious creatures like zombies, ghouls, and demons seemed to step out of legend, vividly coming to life before everyone’s eyes. A mix of suspense and excitement filled the campus as both Students and Teachers made their mysterious appearances.

Dewey’s costume party was filled with laughter from unexpected and delightful transformations. The playful T-rex, the funny Sheep Shaun, and even a moving Mona Lisa had everyone laughing out loud. The youngest elementary students looked adorable, dressed up as princesses, little witches, superheroes, and more. A highlight of the day was the Trick or Treat activity, where hearty laughter and overflowing baskets of candy made Dewey’s schoolyard more lively and bustling than ever!

More than just a chance to spark excitement and creativity in learning, Spirit Week offers TDSers an opportunity to explore world cultures and connect with a popular Western tradition. Let’s take a look back at today’s highlights with Dewey!

10 years as Coordinator of Living Values Education: Trained thousands of teachers in many provinces and cities in Vietnam through MOET and Plan International (UNICEF) projects on a student-centered approach focused on teaching the value of life.
5 years as a UNICEF specialist in psychosocial support for children committing crimes in Hanoi, Hai Phong, and Ho Chi Minh City
5 years as head of the psychology department with the task of psychological and behavioral support for street children at Blue Dragon Children (Australian NGO)
3 years as a school psychology consultant for Dinh Tien Hoang High School and Phuong Lien Secondary School
Visiting Lecturer for the Department of Psychology at the Marie Haps Institute, The University College, Léonard de Vinci, and the Department of Sociology at the University of Gdańsk, Poland

Educational belief
Believe that all students have the potential to learn and become good citizens. All students are intelligent and capable of learning, but these abilities can only be achieved when students enjoy learning. Life values are always hidden inside each person and are ready to be shown when given the opportunity. Educators must create an environment, opportunities, and motivation and help students see their potential, and have a love for learning so their full potential is brought out.
Always care about the mental health of students to ensure students are in the best mental and physical health state.
Always support modern teaching methods: student-centered, learning by doing, learning by experience, and learning by contributing to the community and society.
Respect and accept students unconditionally, and build friendly, safe, trusting relationships with them to guide them to make the right decisions, take the shortest path to success and achieve their life goals.
