[Spirit Week Day 3] A vibrant display of world flags at Flag Day

In the lively atmosphere of Spirit Week, Tuesday’s theme, “Flag Day,” transformed Dewey into a miniature globe as students donned outfits representing the colors of national flags. This event provided a platform for TDSers to express their love for and passion for exploring global cultures.

While roaming the campus, the “Dewey reporters” encountered not only the beloved red and yellow flag of Vietnam but also ventured across continents: from Japan and South Korea in Asia to Brazil in South America, and the United States and Canada in North America…

This year’s Flag Day truly became a vibrant cultural celebration. Can you guess how many countries TDSers “traveled” to on Flag Day? Let’s join the “Dewey reporters” and find out!

10 years as a lecturer in Psychiatry and Counseling Skills for the Graduate Program in Clinical Psychology of Children and Adolescents at the University of Education, Vietnam National University, and the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences
10 years as Coordinator of Living Values Education: Trained thousands of teachers in many provinces and cities in Vietnam through MOET and Plan International (UNICEF) projects on a student-centered approach focused on teaching the value of life.
5 years as a UNICEF specialist in psychosocial support for children committing crimes in Hanoi, Hai Phong, and Ho Chi Minh City
5 years as head of the psychology department with the task of psychological and behavioral support for street children at Blue Dragon Children (Australian NGO)
3 years as a school psychology consultant for Dinh Tien Hoang High School and Phuong Lien Secondary School
Visiting Lecturer for the Department of Psychology at the Marie Haps Institute, The University College, Léonard de Vinci, and the Department of Sociology at the University of Gdańsk, Poland
2 years as a leader of the project “Art in Community Development”
Educational belief
Believe that all students have the potential to learn and become good citizens. All students are intelligent and capable of learning, but these abilities can only be achieved when students enjoy learning. Life values are always hidden inside each person and are ready to be shown when given the opportunity. Educators must create an environment, opportunities, and motivation and help students see their potential, and have a love for learning so their full potential is brought out.
Always care about the mental health of students to ensure students are in the best mental and physical health state.
Always support modern teaching methods: student-centered, learning by doing, learning by experience, and learning by contributing to the community and society.
Respect and accept students unconditionally, and build friendly, safe, trusting relationships with them to guide them to make the right decisions, take the shortest path to success and achieve their life goals.
