EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY
The Dewey Schools has an Educational Psychology clinic, where Students can receive support from psychology specialist majored in Clinical Psychology and Educational Psychology. The psychologists are always very close with teachers in order to identify early the students in risk and need support. Faculty staffs are given training on listening skills, understand to accompany Students, and come to a solution timely. At the same time, the school actively evaluate students emotional health routinely, and organize emotional supportive programs based on these results accrordingly:
– For all students at TDS: the school impemented support prgrams which help students to avoid emotional issues. More specifically, prepare students to lead a healthy life by providing lessons on emotional-social skills based on how they inteprete the world, positive thinking, listening skills, negotiation skills, decision-making, empathy, problem-solving,… The learning program focuses on subjects, such as: PE, Yoga, Meditation, Visual Arts, Performance Arts,… to support students to be creative, able to balance between physical and emotional health management.
– For Students in risks: The school would organize a council for theorapy.
– For Students that have psychological problems: The school would organize a 1 on 1 face-to-face theorapy session for the children.
