Bright smiles, warm embraces exchanged after three months of summer separation, and the shy, hesitant faces of first-graders – Back to School at Dewey is always a celebration full of emotions. The resounding school drum echoes in the air, and in the hearts of TDSers, lively tunes of the new school year begin to play.
Back to School brought an explosive, energy-filled atmosphere with remarkable artistic performances. TDSers and teachers shone on stage, showcasing their exceptional talents in music and dance. The first day back was also a meaningful occasion for Dewey’s teachers and students to reflect on the proud journey of the 2023-2024 school year, highlighting the outstanding achievements of the students. This serves as a source of inspiration and motivation for TDSers to continue striving to affirm themselves in the upcoming school year.
“The Dewey Schools believe that with an innovative curriculum, the strength of modern educational methods, and the proactive creativity of students, you will become the individuals the world is waiting for. The teachers at Dewey have a deep faith in the growth of students. Today, you are proud of Dewey; tomorrow, Dewey will be proud of you,” said Ms. Lo Thuy Huong, Director of the Vietnamese Program for Primary School, in her speech at the ceremony.
With the theme “Beyond the Blueprint: Mapping Your Own Way,” the 2024-2025 school year promises to open a journey full of creativity, where Dewey students are given the opportunity to shine in their own way, freely experiment, dream, and constantly explore. Through the skillful and emotional dance drama “The Extraordinary,” the talented group Creative Chaos of TDSers depicted the journey of overcoming mental, physical, and intellectual limits to become the best version of themselves. With the aspiration to cultivate a generation of students who confidently take control of their future, the teachers will be the ones to inspire and empower, always dedicated to accompanying students every step of the way.
On the journey to realizing the noble mission of education, the unwavering support of parents has always been a great encouragement to The Dewey Schools. Mr. Nguyen Quang Minh, Chairman of the Parent Council, expressed his gratitude to the school: “We highly appreciate the principles and educational philosophy of The Dewey Schools.
