Interning in the field of Human Resource Management and Recruitment with Human Resource experts at Edufit has been an incredibly fresh and exciting experience for us. Let’s look back at the memorable highlights from our first week of the internship!
Exploring Edufit’s office and learning key concepts
We began our journey with a tour of the Edufit office, where we had the opportunity to learn about the company’s operational model and the functions of each department. Through theoretical sessions, we grasped concepts related to Salary – Bonus – Benefits, Labor Relations, and Human Resource Information Systems. This knowledge not only solidified our foundational understanding but also provided us with a comprehensive view of the roles of HR management and recruitment within a business.
Notably, we got to experience various roles such as Recruitment, Training, and Internal Communications. Each position presented different challenges and learning opportunities. The world of Human Resources is much more diverse and rich than we had imagined.
Nguyen Xuan Anh Hoang, an 11Monaco student and HR intern, shares: “Previously, I held the position of recruiting personnel in various clubs both inside and outside of school. I had done some research on this field before, but my understanding was limited. It was only after participating in the internship week at Dewey that I started to gain a more comprehensive view of this profession. I hope that the knowledge I acquire during the two-week practical experience at the company will further support my intended pursuit of Business Management.”
Mastering interview techniques and gaining more useful tips
Our second session was a highlight of our internship week. We learned how to conduct and coordinate a recruitment interview and how to pose questions to candidates. By listening to the insights of industry experts, we also gained many valuable “tips” for effective interview responses. These precious experiences will undoubtedly be beneficial for us in future interviews for extracurricular clubs or scholarship applications.
The dynamism of the Internal Communications and Corporate Culture roles also sparked our interest and passion. We were introduced to various communication channels and tools that help enhance the effectiveness of internal communications and attract more candidates. The most wonderful part was having the opportunity to practice scriptwriting and participate in the production process of a complete communication product.
Gaining valuable experiences and skills
A week of experience in Human Resource Management has provided us with valuable knowledge and practical skills. Numerous “firsts” have been added to our “dictionary.” However, these initial experiences have all become motivators that drive us to be more determined and accomplish our tasks better. These experiences will be incredibly valuable, giving us the confidence and readiness to conquer our future goals in choosing schools and majors!
