Connected, energetic, and vibrant are the adjectives used to describe the Sport Day event for campers of Journey Camp and Maker Talents Camp. The radiant summer of Dewey Summer Camp concluded with a special event – Sport Day. This was an opportunity for the young participants of Journey Camp and Maker Talents Camp to showcase their dynamism and encourage one another. The two weeks at summer camp witnessed strong bonds and comprehensive physical training for the children.
The atmosphere at Dewey Summer Camp was electrified with excitement. The children from Journey Camp and Maker Talents Camp competed in lively “hit the cone” matches, from thrilling sprints to the dynamic ball-passing game “Hungry Hungry.” Although they were tired, the enthusiastic cheering from coaches and friends reignited their energy for each play, creating unforgettable memories.
“Participating in summer camp has been a valuable experience this summer. Sport Day had many interesting games that helped me improve my physical fitness. My favorite game was “Steal the Shirt”; my friends and I had a lot of fun playing together,” shared Tong Thieu Binh, a Newton camper.
Sport Day is also an occasion for all campers at Dewey Summer Camp to come together, bond, and make new friends. Participating in activities not only ignites the campers’ sporting spirit but also imparts valuable lessons in teamwork, resilience, perseverance, and determination to conquer every challenge.
After two weeks filled with memorable experiences, the Sport Day at Dewey Summer Camp concluded successfully, leaving a deep mark in the hearts of every camper. It is hoped that this will prepare them with abundant energy and enthusiasm for the upcoming school year.
