Building on the spirit of “For the Community,” in the 2024-2025 school year, The Dewey Schools, in collaboration with the Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities in Bo Trach, Quang Binh, will organize the volunteer program “Sowing the Seeds of Dreams.”
This meaningful journey opens up opportunities for underprivileged students to visit Hanoi, a city that remains a dream for many children. Due to financial burdens, many students have to put their dreams of attending school on hold to support their families. Through this program, we aim to offer hope and strength to these disadvantaged “buds,” helping them stay resilient in their pursuit of education and continue to chase their aspirations. The trip will also serve as a significant motivation for them to realize that knowledge is the key to success and that the path of learning will open new opportunities and horizons to lift their dreams.
The “Sowing the Seeds of Dreams” program not only provides meaningful experiences for the students of the Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities in Bo Trach but also fosters a connection and spreads love among Dewey students. By directly participating in welcoming and guiding the Quang Binh students through cultural and historical sites in the capital and exploring the educational environment at Dewey, Dewey students will have the chance to demonstrate their generosity, gain a deeper understanding of compassion, and willingly give. Together, they will create memorable experiences and write beautiful stories of friendship and sharing.
The Dewey Schools believe that education is not just about imparting knowledge but also about nurturing and awakening empathy, love, and sharing in each student. Creating a comprehensive educational environment that helps students become leaders who positively impact their communities is the mission that The Dewey Schools are committed to and steadfastly pursue.
Each step of this journey will be even more solid with your support. The Dewey Schools Tay Ho Tay sincerely call for the collaboration and contributions of parents. Every contribution and support from parents will be a tremendous source of motivation, helping us successfully carry out this charitable project and provide meaningful gifts of love to the students from Quang Binh.
